When a doll gets sick, it’s time to take it to the doctor. Meet Julio Roldán, a toy restorer in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For 52 years, Dr. Roldán has given broken babes new sets of eyes, haircuts, perfume and more. According to his clients, he magically brings back the dolls’ sentimental value, too. “I speak to them although they don’t answer back,” explained the 70-year-old, who works alone. “I know they’re listening.” Step inside his shop of 400 dolls in this episode of “Extraordinary People” by the New York Post.
