RAÍCES DE RESISTENCIA
Este corto fue comisionado para Global Witness como parte de su campaña Roots of Resistance, en donde explora las luchas de quienes defienden la tierra y el ambiente, protegiendo sus territorios y comunidades en diferentes regiones.
Entonces Propuse crear una versión orientada al circuito de festivales para extender la vida del film más allá de la campaña institucional. La idea era llevar la historia hacia un circuito cinematográfico y cultural más amplio, alcanzando nuevas audiencias y permitiendo que el mensaje trascendiera su contexto original.
El film se convirtió así no solo en una pieza de campaña, sino también en una forma de continuar la conversación a través de festivales, proyecciones y nuevos espacios de circulación.
ROOTS OF RESISTANCE
Created for Global Witness as part of their Roots of Resistance campaign, this film explores the struggles of land and environmental defenders protecting their territories and communities.
I proposed creating a festival-oriented version of the film to extend its life beyond the institutional campaign. The idea was to take the story into a broader cinematic and cultural circuit, reaching new audiences and allowing the message to travel beyond its original context.
The film became not only a campaign piece, but a way of continuing the conversation through festivals, screenings and new spaces of circulation.
